Casa Hostos operates two levels of residential services, including intensive and intermediate, with a total of sixteen beds in a 24-hour residential setting for Spanish speaking individuals (men and women). Casa Hostos offers an array of behavioral health services staffed by compassionate bilingual, bicultural addiction treatment/recovery personnel. The residential services at Casa Hostos are provided to adult substance abusers in the state of Connecticut who are medically indigent and alcohol and/or drug dependent. These levels of care are most appropriate for persons who have no significant medical or psychiatric conditions. Services provided range in time period from one to six months. Those seeking admission to this residential program must meet the criteria as outlined in the Connecticut Client Placement Criteria.

Casa Hostos Day treatment is provided as a continuum of care or as primary treatment intervention to Spanish speaking residents of the greater Bridgeport area who may be poor, unemployed or underemployed. Day Treatment is a structured, non-residential service providing no less than four hours per day, five days per week, of clinically intensive programming to clients, based on individualized treatment plans. The program offers culturally centered, diagnostic and therapeutic rehabilitation services with access to psychiatric, medical, auricular acupuncture and laboratory services. Therapies include individual, group counseling, and psycho-educational groups. These services target individuals who have recently been discharged from a higher level of care or whose admission into inpatient can be prevented.
